There is no charge for the initial consultation regarding all personal injury related cases. If we accept your case, we will generally advance the costs of the lawsuit. These costs are sought from the opposing party as part of the settlement and are only reimbursed to us when we get you a recovery.

Barrett W. Stetson began his law practice in October 1975 in Dallas, Texas and has continued to practice successfully in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area for nearly thirty years. He has extensive trial experience in state courts, as well as in federal court.  He is also experienced in state appellate practice. Mr. Stetson is personally involved in handling his cases, from initial interview through pre-trial litigation, mediation, settlement and/or trial.

Mr. Stetson is assisted by Thomas P. Moynihan, a graduate of the University of Texas Law School. Mr. Moynihan has been practicing law since 1993, and assists Mr. Stetson in research, administrative hearings, including Workers' Compensation, Social Security Disability (SSDI & SSI) claims, ERISA claims, and also in trial. In addition to Mr. Moynihan, Mr. Stetson's staff includes a pre-litigation assistant and a litigation assistant, both of whom are experienced in handling personal injury claims.

In the last two years, Mr.Stetson has obtained settlements for his clients in cases where the insurance carriers initially denied responsibility and offered zero dollars to settle the case. These settlements include a construction accident case where the recovery was $1,050,000; a motor vehicle accident claim where the settlement was $200,000; and two accidental fall cases where the recoveries where $250,000 and $300,000.

In addition to other settlements in excess of $100,000, we have also obtained a $650,000 settlement in a motor vehicle products liability and personal injury claim.

We have achieved these results by locating and hiring the right experts to support and quantify the claims. We have hired experts in safety, engineering, economics, vocational rehabilitation, life care planning and various medical professionals.

We work regularly with a private investigator who is also a licensed attorney.  We also consult with a physician and who is available to work on your case and consult with us. He has provided medical expertise to us for many years.

Over the last three years, Mr. Stetson has had more than twenty five jury trials. We are persistent and tenacious!  We will attempt to resolve your case outside the court, and will make every effort to settle your case for a reasonable sum.
